Triggering conversations on social media, Christian Nodal has ignited a wave of discussions by revealing a new look in a pristine image shared on April 8.
In an online post, the artist from Sonora wrote, “If someone claims that I’ve transformed into a miscreant… DECLARE THAT I’M A FIEND AND THEN SOME ❤️🔥.” This recent social media update exhibits Nodal’s unblemished visage, void of any tattoos. Typically adorned with ink, including designs such as a horseshoe and spiderweb, the singer’s tattoos extend to a heart, among others. Additional snapshots showcase him without facial tattoos, dressed in a suit, surrounded by stacks of $100 bills, and standing in front of a shower.
Subsequent to this post, discussions unfolded on social media, drawing comparisons between Nodal and Johnny Depp. This comparison could be attributed to their resemblant jawlines and hairstyles. A social media user commented eloquently in Spanish: “Christian Nodal, without tattoos, resembles Johnny Depp,” alongside a youthful photo of Depp. Similarly, an Instagram user, somosneda, echoed similar sentiments in Spanish: “Johnny Depp, is that really you?”
Despite this, certain individuals on social media fail to recognize the resemblance. A user on social media expressed in Spanish: “Christian Nodal dreams of being as dashing as Johnny Depp, there is no comparison.”
While not officially confirmed, the absence of facial tattoos could potentially be linked to an upcoming music video project. According to reports by Billboard, the singer had teased upcoming visual content and hinted at an upcoming album just days prior. Intriguingly, following the circulation of these viral photos, he shared an Instagram story showcasing the words: “2/6,” suggesting either June 2 or perhaps marking the completion of two out of the anticipated six songs/visuals. It is noteworthy that in the Instagram story, his facial tattoos were reinstated.
Nevertheless, this isn’t the initial instance where the artist behind “Botella Tras Botella” hinted at a tattoo-free face. Last year, he expressed his wish to erase the ink from that region. Nodal had mentioned before, “I desire my daughter to recognize my face. I want her to see me without [the tattoos].”
