Madonna’s ardent followers in Mexico are eagerly observing the remarkable individuals gracing the stage on the Celebration Tour. In her recent performance (April 23), the iconic singer shed light on a revered personality within the Mexican LGBTQ+ community.
As Madonna dazzles the audience with five remarkable shows in Mexico City as part of the Celebration Tour, she consistently invites a prominent figure to share the limelight during her rendition of “Vogue.” The first two guests chosen for the Mexico segment of the tour sparked some intrigue among Mexican fans. On the opening night, she called upon Mexican comedian Guillermo Rodriguez, famous for his appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! While Rodriguez originates from Mexico, some online critics noted his limited recognition in the country due to the absence of Jimmy Kimmel’s show on local television. Subsequently, on the subsequent night, she featured renowned Cuban actor Alberto Guerra, known for his roles in Narcos: Mexico and Griselda.
In the course of the third night in Mexico during the Celebration Tour, Madonna extended a warm welcome to a beloved guest held in high esteem by the public, notably within the LGBTQ+ community. Reality TV star and social media influencer Wendy Guevara graced the stage with Madonna during a splendid performance of “Vogue.” Guevara gained nationwide recognition in Mexico last year following her victory on La Casa de Los Famosos. Her win as a transgender individual on the TV show was celebrated as a significant achievement for LGBTQ+ rights and transgender visibility in Mexico.
Numerous admirers of Madonna in Mexico took to the internet to applaud her choice to feature Wendy from Las Perdidas as a special guest. One individual expressed on X, “Madonna’s integration of Wendy on stage is truly historic.” Another fan declared, “Wendy Guevara embodies the essence of the Mexican LGBTQ+ community at Madonna’s concert.”
