Over the past weekend, there were rumors circulating about Romeo Santos facing a cardiac incident before the start of Aventura’s reunion tour. Last night, the sensational Dominican-American artist shared his reflections on the concerns expressed by his fans regarding his health.
On Sunday morning (March 31), various sources began spreading the unconfirmed reports claiming that Santos, the frontman of Aventura, had suffered a heart attack. Many sources appeared to have obtained this information from TikTok posts that were rapidly spreading the news. According to one post, Santos allegedly experienced a heart-related incident while exercising. Reportedly, he was admitted to a private medical center in a “critical condition,” with his family rushing to be by his side.
The reports of Santos’ alleged heart incident swiftly reached his supporters. Many individuals voiced their worry on X (formerly known as Twitter). One user expressed, “What do you mean Romeo Santos had a heart attack??? There’s no hope for the rest of us.” Another person stated in Spanish, “It was said that Romeo Santos suffered a heart attack and it was my mother who almost had a heart attack.”
Eventually, Santos himself became aware of the news.
Known for maintaining the privacy of his personal life on social media, Santos took an unprecedented move upon witnessing the rumor spreading. He released a heartfelt statement addressing the alleged heart incident, calling out those spreading misinformation about his health in an emotional post on X.
“You do not possess the power, nor the wisdom, to harm me,” wrote Santos. “If you believe tickets for the tour will be refunded due to this false news, you are even more FOOLISH than I thought. If you persist in scheming to harm me, you might encounter a sudden cardiac arrest. Heaven forbid.”
Romeo Santos’ Cerrando Ciclos Tour with Aventura kicks off on May 1 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA. Additional dates have been added to the tour due to the high demand for the Aventura reunion.
