The occurrence of Love’s Blindness has officially reached Mexico. Joss Favela was selected to present the theme tune for the Mexican adaptation of the Netflix program.

Blind Affection is a reality television series that premiered on Netflix back in 2020. The premise of the show is that individuals looking for love avoid seeing each other until they commit to marriage. Offshoots have been created in Brazil, Japan, Sweden, and now Mexico, alongside the original U.S. version.

The initial batch of four episodes of Blind Affection: Mexico is now accessible for viewing on Netflix beginning today (Aug. 1). The hosting responsibilities are taken care of by the Mexican powerhouse pair Omar and Lucy Chaparro. The vocal talent behind the theme song for the spin-off might sound familiar, as it comes from the Mexican crooner Joss Favela. He crafted and performed the touching ballad “Cosas Mágicas,” merging traditional Mexican sounds with country melodies, exclusively for the series.

“Inclining more towards other music genres rather than romantic tunes, I focused on the delightful aspects of life and aimed to produce a tune that not only connects with me but can also be dedicated by individuals to their significant other,” mentioned Favela in a communique. “The process was genuinely extraordinary.”

Throughout his creative journey, Favela has accomplished triumph as both a performer and a songwriter. He has contributed to hits such as “La Mejor Versión De Mí” by Natti Natasha and Romeo Santos, “Poquito a Poco” by Christian Nodal, and “El Beneficio De La Duda” by Grupo Firme. His individual hits include “Pienso En Ti” featuring Becky G, “Me Hubieras Dicho,” and “Cuando Fuimos Nada.”

Back in May, Favela introduced his EP Mis Compas, Vol. 1. He collaborated with talents like Gera MX on “Cuando Llegue El Día,” Luis R Conriquez on “Con Todo Respetillo,” and Yuridia on “Pensando Positivo.” Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho, Banda MS, and Codiciado also lent their voices to the EP. Last month, Favela performed as the opening act for Los Tucanes de Tijuana’s showcase at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, CA.
