At this year’s Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood and Orlando, the spooky celebrations will see the revival of the beloved Monstruos manor inspired by the folklore of Latin America. While Orlando will relish in a house reminiscent of the 2023 version, Hollywood will up the ante with Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America.

Halloween Horror Nights has been haunting guests since the 1990s with themed houses inspired by movies like The Exorcist or with original tales such as La Llorona. The return of Monstruos continues the tradition of follow-up houses at the event.

While the initial house showcased creatures from Latin American folklore like El Sibón, the current edition introduces three new monsters. Firstly, El Charro, a phantom horseman that preys on souls; secondly, El Cadejo, a dark-eyed black hound that feasts on its prey. And lastly, El Cucuy, known as the bogeyman, has a rich history at Halloween Horror Nights.

Being a sequel house featuring El Cucuy, Monstruos 2 will give visitors a fresh take on these legends. The fate of the Guadalajara and Guanajuato cemetery facade’s return remains uncertain, but it promises a seamless segue into a new terrifying adventure.

Universal Studios Hollywood has masterfully brought chilling narratives from Latin America to life, and Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America will surely continue this tradition. With the iconic presence of El Cucuy guiding the way for lesser-known myths, this chapter could easily win the hearts of new enthusiasts.

Guests can delve into Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America from September 5th to November 3rd. This extended period ensures numerous chances to experience the revival of this now iconic haunted house for another year of thrills.
