The renowned vocalist Patti LaBelle and Cardi B have teamed up to craft a dessert that is guaranteed to steal the spotlight at your upcoming holiday gathering.
In a teaser video reminiscent of a 1980s TV sitcom, Cardi B and LaBelle allude to their upcoming seasonal venture, where they will combine their dessert labels. In late 2021, Cardi B introduced Whipshots, a series of vodka-infused whipped cream in a can.
In 2015, LaBelle expanded her Patti’s Good Life line to include delectable sweet potato pies. Initially exclusively available at Walmart, these pies garnered widespread attention and have since been accompanied by other treats such as southern buttermilk pie, peach cobbler, and banana pudding.
Describing the WAP singer, LaBelle shared with People, “I’ve regarded her as a daughter for a long time because she’s outstanding and exceptional.”
The preview portrays LaBelle warmly welcoming Cardi B into her residence for a festive meal. Cardi B arrives carrying one of LaBelle’s renowned sweet potato pies and a can of her own peppermint-flavored Whipshots. Both artists seem to relish each other’s company as they engage in conversation, laughter, wine, and indulgence in desserts.
Expressing her amazement at meeting LaBelle, Cardi told People, “I feel incredibly honored, I am completely taken aback! I am starstruck. I am showing my best self.”
Earlier this year, Cardi B unveiled a new lime-flavored variation of Whipshots. On the organization’s official website, they also offer a limited-time pumpkin spice flavor. Additional options include vanilla, mocha, and caramel.
A generous dollop of vanilla Whipshots atop a slice of Patti’s sweet potato pie, and all will be well.
