Congratulations to soon-to-be parents Kali Uchis and Don Toliver! Today (Jan. 11), the renowned Colombian-American singer revealed her pregnancy in the music videos for “Tu Corazón Es Mío” and “Diosa.”
Before the debut of her upcoming album Orquídeas, Kali Uchis premiered a special music video for the new tracks “Tu Corazón Es Mío” and “Diosa.” The first song appears to be a homage to her partner Toliver and their approaching child. Singing in Spanglish, she expresses, “I know you’re entirely mine / All that you need’s inside of me.” In the visuals, Kali shares intimate moments with Toliver, proudly displaying her pregnancy. There are also snippets of vintage home videos featuring both artists during their childhood.
In the middle of the video, Kali Uchis’ other new track, “Diosa,” begins to play. In this reggaeton-infused anthem, she reflects on being an empowered woman with the world under her sway. The “telepatía” singer fully embodies the spirit of a strong goddess, with her pregnancy taking center stage. Blooms emerge from Kali’s abdomen, and she is later depicted reclining within a remarkable tree of life exhibit.
On Instagram, Kali Uchis shared further insights about her pregnancy through a heartfelt post. Addressing the baby she is expecting with Toliver, Uchis wrote, “Starting our family. Don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
Kali Uchis’ Orquídeas album is set to be officially released tonight at midnight ET. The album features previously-released hit songs such as “Muñekita” featuring City Girls’ JT and El Alfa, “Labios Mordidos” with fellow Colombian luminary Karol G, and the captivating ballad “Te Mata.”
Mexican singer Peso Pluma also makes an appearance on Kali Uchis’ upcoming album, collaborating with her on the track “Igual Que Un Ángel.” Additionally, she has recruited Rauw Alejandro to feature on a new version of “No Hay Ley.”
