Esteemed EGOT winner Rita Moreno criticized ex-President Donald Trump during her appearance on The View. Her comments emerged while Moreno was discussing the disparity between Trump’s 91 legal allegations and President Biden’s age of 81.
Moreno also shared some witty jokes, including a funny story she heard at a deli in Los Angeles. The anecdote was about a “Trump Sandwich” recipe, with ingredients like “Two slices of bread. Just a moment… two slices of white bread. Bologna. And a rather small pickle.”
This jest caused the hosts to burst into laughter. However, Moreno also took on a serious demeanor, expressing her strong opinion about the upcoming election. “Let me put this straightforwardly and clearly: I will not vote for a person facing 91 accusations for illegal actions.”
The former President is confronting a total of 91 criminal charges spread across four separate indictments. Two of them are related to his presumed efforts to overturn the 2020 election. The third accusation involves alleged intentional withholding of classified information and obstruction of federal attempts to recover said data. The fourth indictment is connected to alleged secretive payment transactions.
In her conversation with The Hill, Moreno also addressed President Biden’s age. “I believe that people are misinterpreting President Biden,” Moreno conveyed to The Hill. “I think that because of his advanced age — which is a fact — they perceive this as inadequate,” she stated, further emphasizing that “They lack understanding of aging.”
At 92 years young, Rita Moreno recently starred in the Netflix holiday movie Family Switch. She also appeared in Fast X and 80 for Brady, along with Princess Power. She is set to be one of the hosts at the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony, airing on ABC on March 10th at 7ET/4 PT.
