Pitbull is officially part of the high society circle. The talented Cuban singer is all set to appear in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s romantic series, Bridgerton. The season will be split into two parts, with the first part releasing on May 16, followed by the second part on June 13. The anticipation is for his songs to be heard throughout.
Bridgerton is well-known for its orchestral versions of popular tracks. In the initial segment of Season 3, viewers can look forward to a rendition of Pitbull’s “Grant Me Everything – Simplified” performed by Archer Marsh, interspersed with numerous exceptional instrumental interpretations. The original included Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer, and has been a massive hit globally.
Music curator Justin Kamps commented on Pitbull’s version, noting, “This rendition stands out for its unique twist on the usual cover sounds we are accustomed to. The track is extraordinary, with an enthralling crescendo, and it will be exciting to see how the audience reacts.”
Kamps also discussed on Tudum.com his process for selecting songs like this, stating, “I consider songs from the past that could fit this scenario and current hits that might work well.” He emphasized the importance of matching the music with the script, themes, choreography, and the emotional depth of the scene. Pitbull evidently checks all these boxes.
In the upcoming season of Bridgerton, the focus will be on the journey of friendship blossoming into love between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. However, aside from Colin’s realization of Penelope’s true self, there is a significant twist as she keeps a deep secret from both Colin and society: her actual identity as Lady Whistledown. How will Colin react upon uncovering this truth? And how will Pitbull’s music fit into the unfolding narrative?
The full soundtrack for Part 1 will be released on May 16, coinciding with the premiere of the season on Netflix.
