The latest primary family of the MCU has been unveiled, and Pedro Pascal has been formally declared the lead. Marvel has at last verified that Pascal is confirmed to portray Reed Richards, widely known as Mr. Fantastic. This confirmation arrives following several months of misinformation, hearsay, and deliberation regarding his involvement.
Pascal will be accompanied by Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm also recognized as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm also known as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm also known as the Thing.
The Fantastic Four were famously the pioneer superheroes devised by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics. While specific storyline details remain undisclosed, prior adaptations have highlighted the origin tale of the four astronauts evolving into superheroes subsequent to exposure to cosmic rays in outer space. Mr. Fantastic, portrayed by Pascal, possesses the power of elasticity, enabling him to extend, distort, and reshape his body into virtually any form.
Disney has also revealed that the movie is scheduled for release on May 2, 2025.
The reaction on the internet to this news has been diverse. While some are open to giving him an opportunity, questions have been raised about Pascal’s retention of his facial hair.
Then there are those who have come to the realization that this means Oscar Isaac, Pedro Pascal, and Gael GarcÃa Bernal are all part of the MCU.
I just realized that we have Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac, and Gael GarcÃa Bernal together at Marvel Studios🤯 https://t.co/ouag7mDRiN

Some are still dissatisfied.
Pedro Pascal hasn’t refused a project since he achieved success and I commend that, but I don’t envision him as Reed

However, some are optimistic.
At the end of the day, this is an exceptional cast. Recently, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn have all delivered exceptional performances and exuded immense charm. I’m looking forward to witnessing their squabbles and battles. #FantasticFour https://t.co/2F0QcKZ6DR
