Throughout a confined period, Kanye “Ye” West enlisted two of the most notable Hispanic music artists for his latest album. Just yesterday (August 8), the controversial rapper revealed a new tune titled “Drunk,” initially featuring Bad Bunny… later it got replaced with Peso Pluma.

On August 3, Ye debuted his collaborative project Vultures 2 alongside Ty Dolla $ign. They debuted as the duo ¥$ back in February with the launch of Vultures 1. To enhance the sales of Vultures 2, West introduced four deluxe editions of the album yesterday on his official website. One version of the LP included the track “Drunk.” Initially, Ye teased a snippet of the song with Bad Bunny’s vocals in December. “Drunk” was first revealed with Bad Bunny and Kodak Black as featured artists.

Through his recent music projects, Ye has established a reputation for consistently refining and improving them post-launch. The deluxe variations of Vultures 2 were no different. Shortly after Bad Bunny’s appearance on “Drunk,” West released an updated version of the tune that swapped the Puerto Rican artist with Peso Pluma. This marked the second collaboration of the Mexican singer with West, following their work on “Gimme A Second 2” alongside Rich The Kid and Ty Dolla $ign. The alteration on “Drunk” happened abruptly, with no disclosed reason behind the substitution of Bad Bunny.

The deluxe versions of Vultures 2 and “Drunk” were available on Ye’s site until midnight. The rendition of “Drunk” featuring Peso Pluma replaced the one with Bad Bunny for the remainder of the song’s brief availability.

Last night, Peso Pluma also released the highly anticipated track “Los Cuadros” with his relative and frequent collaborator Tito Double P. Currently, he is actively performing live shows in significant arenas across the United States as part of his Éxodo Tour. Bad Bunny wrapped up his Most Wanted Tour in June with three shows in Puerto Rico.
