The esteemed Spanish pop-rock band has teamed up with Mexican singer Carin León for a fresh rendition of “Te Quiero,” which is now available as of today, February 9.

Expressing their thoughts online, Hombres G said, “‘Te quiero’ is one of our most enduring tracks from ’86 till present. Creating a connection with Mexico – a wonderful country that is a part of us – we are accompanied by our great friend @carinleonoficial in this new version.”

In a separate social media post, León shared, “Feeling grateful for being asked to be part of this, what an honor! 🙏🏼.”

In time for Valentine’s Day, the renewed interpretation of the romantic tune takes a different direction with subtly distinct acoustic guitar sounds complementing the characteristic melody. León’s vocal flexibility shines, effortlessly nailing the varied notes that define the iconic tune. Meanwhile, Hombres G vocalist David Summers passionately delivers the song as always, with the melody incorporating added guitar chords that interweave with the well-known tune. Overall, the new elements do not diminish the original track but bring a special nuance to the chord progression.

Fans are excited about the fresh take on “Te Quiero.” A social media user wrote: “I love the collaboration of Carin Leon and Hombres G so much.” Another social media user commented: “The song ‘Te quiero’ by Hombres G and Carin León will undoubtedly be a significant anthem (more than it already was). Save this tweet.”

Moving forward, Hombres G is preparing for their upcoming 40th Anniversary Tour in the U.S. The tour, covering 14 cities, will commence in Hidalgo, TX, on March 6 and conclude in El Paso, TX, on July 13. Meanwhile, León is getting ready for two major music festivals in the U.S.: Coachella and Stagecoach.
