Did you know that there is a knockoff In-N-Out restaurant in Sinaloa, Mexico? If you happen to visit and think you’re ordering an authentic Combo No. 1, think again. You’re actually getting an imitation cheeseburger that mimics the classic In-N-Out taste.
This fast-food joint, called In-I-Nout, looks almost identical to its American counterpart. From its red and yellow logo to its 1950s-style interior, it mirrors the iconic American chain. Just like In-N-Out, it serves double-double burgers and French fries, including their famous “animal-style” fries. Interestingly, In-I-Nout even offers buffalo chicken tenders, which is a menu item you won’t find in the American version. It might be a hit among fans if they added it to the real In-N-Out menu.

The burgers at In-I-Nout certainly look delicious, but since there aren’t any In-N-Out Burger branches outside of the U.S., this knockoff cannot claim to be the genuine article.
When contacted by the Los Angeles Times, In-N-Out Burger declined to comment “due to ongoing litigation.” This suggests that In-N-Out is already aware of its counterfeit competitors in Mexico and is likely taking legal action against them.
This is not the first time imitation In-N-Out Burger restaurants have cropped up in Mexico. In Tijuana, for example, there is a place called Ench-In-Ga Burger, which sounds like a family-friendly establishment.
Another restaurant, previously known as Not In-En-Out in Guadalupe, Mexico, eventually changed its name to Not-My-Burger.
So, if you happen to be in Culiacán and have a craving for an In-I-Nout burger, better act quickly because they may not be around for much longer – at least not under that name.
