Popular Mexican-American group Fuerza Regida has just dropped their latest album, titled Pa Las Baby’s y Belikeada. The album features collaborations with various artists including Gabito Ballesteros, Marshmello, Manuel Turizo, Maria Becerra, El Fantasma, and many more.
Fuerza Regida is known for being pioneers of the corridos tumbado movement and is associated with the Rancho Humilde label along with Natanael Cano and Junior H. They gained mainstream recognition earlier this year with their hit single “Bebe Dame” featuring Grupo Frontera. In December of last year, they released two albums, Pa Que Hablen and Sigan Hablando. Now, their latest LP, Pa Las Baby’s y Belikeada, boasts a total of 30 songs.
The standout track from Pa Las Baby’s y Belikeada is the energetic corridos tumbados anthem “Excesos.” Fuerza Regida’s lead singer, Jesús Ortiz Paz (also known as JOP), sings about a girl living a lavish lifestyle. They also collaborated with Gabito Ballesteros on the infectious track “F’s.” El Fantasma, another prominent corridos tumbados artist, is featured on the military-themed song “GDL.”
Expanding their reach internationally, Fuerza Regida partnered with Argentine pop star Maria Becerra for the dreamy song “Pradax,” which marks Becerra’s first foray into regional Mexican music. Colombian heartthrob Manuel Turizo joins them on the emotional track “Una Cerveza.” Mexican rapper Chinos Pacas later adds his touch to “Plvo Blnco” along with Fuerza Regida and Caro.
In a departure from their usual style, Fuerza Regida also explores other genres on this album. They collaborate with EDM sensation Marshmello on the house-infused track “Harley Quinn.” They blend reggaeton beats with their sound in “Freaky Freaky” featuring Calle 24 and Armenta. Furthermore, Paz showcases his English-language skills for the first time on the trap song “Dafuk.”
The album also includes some of Fuerza Regida’s previous singles such as “Sabor Fresa” and “TQM.” Last month, Colombian pop icon Shakira featured the group on her corrido track “El Jefe.” Additionally, Becky G joined forces with Fuerza Regida for the duet “Te Quiero Besar.”
