Intense admiration can sometimes lead to unexpected occurrences. This was the case during Fuerza Regida’s recent concert at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California, which is drawing attention for an unforeseen incident.
As the incident unfolded, security personnel quickly jumped into action, pulling the fan away from the artist. However, before being removed from the stage, the individual managed to grab the bottle Ortiz was holding and took a quick sip.
Clearly startled and somewhat uncomfortable with the situation, Ortiz tried to break free from the fan’s hold. Once released, he attempted to lighten the atmosphere with a light-hearted comment.
“That’s the one who wanted to take my bottle, man. Don’t do that or I will take you to the back,” he joked.
Reactions from Fuerza Regida’s fans
In the wake of the incident, many fans have shared their opinions on the video. A lot expressed that the fan’s behavior was disrespectful, with some voicing their concerns about the increasing occurrences of such incidents.
“I don’t understand why people feel the need to act foolishly at concerts. So ridiculous,” remarked one Instagram user.
On the other hand, some fans compared this incident to one involving Peso Pluma, who recently paused his performance to help a young man who was fainting in the crowd.
“He was just trying to take a shot. Damn! Peso Pluma would have handed him that bottle. Period,” commented a user on TikTok.
Additionally, some fans criticized the security protocols in place.
“Security is lacking. He should never have gotten that close. Someone needs to lose their job,” asserted another user on Instagram.
Concerns grow as fan interference at concerts becomes more prevalent
Unfortunately, incidents involving performers on stage have become more frequent. As expected, videos of various occurrences are rapidly spreading across social media platforms.
CNN reported an incident where a fan threw water at Cardi B during her performance of “Bodak Yellow” in Las Vegas. Recently, Anuel confronted a fan in Spain who launched an object at him while he was interacting with the audience.
Last month, Harry Styles was hit in the eye while performing “Watermelon Sugar” in Vienna. Fortunately, he appeared to be unaffected and carried on with the show.
Fuerza Regida continues its U.S. tour after the event
While the band has not made an official statement regarding the incident, the “Otra Peda” tour is set to carry on with upcoming shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Georgia.
In a press release, Ortiz, also known as JOP, stated, “We have been blessed with the success witnessed at the concerts. Thank God, our movement is now global.”
