Drake is set to make his entry into the música mexicana genre. On the evening of October 8, rising Mexican artist Chino Pacas announced that Drake will appear on his upcoming album, which also features Fuerza Regida.
Last year, Drake was seen socializing at a party in Miami, Florida, with Chino Pacas, an artist from Guanajuato who had recently gained traction with his hit single “El Gordo Trae El Mando.” Following the success of this song, Jesús Ortiz Paz (JOP) from Fuerza Regida brought Chino Pacas onto his label, Street Mob Records. Since then, Chino has released additional hits, including “Que Onda” featuring Calle 24 and Fuerza Regida, as well as “Dijeron Que No La Iba Llorar.” With this new collaboration, Chino Pacas will become the first artist in the música mexicana industry to team up with Drake.
In an Instagram post last night, Chino Pacas revealed the tracklist for his debut album, Que Sigan Llegando Las Pacas. The album will include a track titled “Modo Capone,” featuring both Drake and Fuerza Regida. It seems there will also be a music video for this collaboration. In a brief clip, Chino is shown alongside Drake and JOP from Fuerza Regida. The album is scheduled for release on October 18, which coincidentally is also Chino Pacas’ birthday.
Fans of both Drake and Chino Pacas are eagerly awaiting the launch of “Modo Capone.” On X, a user commented in Spanish, “Chico Pacas is dropping a song with Drake and Fuerza Regida – My generation is achieving the impossible.” Another user chimed in, “Drake connected with the Mexicans lmfao man I actually like Chino Pacas.”
