A brand-new music festival showcasing Mexican artists is on the horizon in the United States. As of today (Aug. 13), the lineup for the Alebrije Music Fest 2024 has been unveiled, introducing names like Xavi, Gabito Ballesteros, Santa Fe Klan, Panteón Rococó, and more. The esteemed Alebrije Music Fest is set to take place in McAllen, TX, on Oct. 19.
Aligned with its title, the event will pay tribute to the customs linked to Día de Muertos. The array will encompass Mexican musicians spanning various genres such as traditional Mexican melodies, rock, hip-hop, alternative sounds, and beyond.
Headlining the Pink Stage will be the Mexican-American luminary Xavi. His work has gained substantial recognition this year with hits like “La Diabla,” which claimed the top spot on the Global charts of Spotify, and “La Víctima.” Share the spotlight with him will be other emerging talents in the field, such as Gabito Ballesteros, Tito Doble P (the relative and creative partner of Peso Pluma), and Jasiel Nuñez. Also scheduled to perform are Tony Aguirre and the electro-corrido pair Los Esquivel.
The Blue Stage promises a varied fusion of music styles. Mexican rapper Santa Fe Klan is poised to lead this platform alongside numerous rock and alternative bands like Panteón Rococó, Inspector, and Plastilina Mosh. The program will be complemented by Siddhartha, the openly LGBTQ+ artist Bruses, and the Argentine group Enanitos Verdes. Meanwhile, the Orange Stage will spotlight more conventional Mexican music performers, with La Adictiva at the forefront. The lineup on this stage will also feature Régulo Caro, Jennifer Peña, Secretto Costumbre, and Madeleyn Ainley.
For tickets to attend the event, go to the festival’s official website. An exclusive special offer for early birds will be accessible beginning Friday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. CDT. The festival will transpire at the McAllen Convention Center.
This occasion marks Xavi’s debut as a headlining act at a U.S. festival. Just recently, he graced the stage at the 2024 Baja Beach Fest in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. Xavi also made an appearance in the lineup at this year’s Sueños Music Festival in Chicago, IL.
