Embarking on an autumn expedition throughout the United States is Camila Fernández. The declaration of her forthcoming La Fernández Tour was announced by the Mexican singer on July 29th. Beginning in Santa Barbara, California, on August 3rd, her much-anticipated journey will wrap up in Los Angeles, California, on December 8th.
In an email to Remezcla, she expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Longing for this moment has been ingrained in me. The most cherished aspect for me is the priceless opportunity to enthrall my audience with the melodies from my heart and my mariachi ensemble. My greatest source of excitement stems from realizing that my relentless effort has finally brought forth this reality following years of commitment.”
Camila belongs to the prestigious Fernández lineage, joining her father Alejandro Fernández and her grandfather Vicente Fernández. As the lone female performer in the dynasty, she emphasized, “It fills me with great pride to be a woman carrying the FERNÁNDEZ banner. Representing our family’s name in a music genre that can be challenging for women carries a significant burden. My family has paved a distinguished path in Mexican music, and now it is our turn as women to uphold this illustrious legacy.”
Commencing her mariachi spectacle in Santa Barbara, Camila’s tour will then journey to Dallas, Texas (Sept. 1); Las Vegas, Nevada (Sept. 14); and Sacramento, California (Sept. 15). The itinerary continues through venues in León, Guanajuato, Mexico (Sept. 28); Detroit, Michigan (Sept. 29); and San Antonio, Texas (Oct. 13). Concluding this year’s schedule are shows in Houston, Texas (Oct. 27), and Los Angeles on December 7th and 8th. The tour will recommence in Mexico in 2025.
Camila has gained recognition for popular songs like “Debí Suponerlo (Versión Mariachi)” featuring Morat and “¿Te Ha Pasado?” with Paty Cantú and Pitizion. Her debut album, which includes 10 original compositions and 10 covers, was unveiled last year. You can listen to it here.
